by admin477351

Cambodia and Cuba have taken a significant step towards enhancing their tourism ties by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement, signed in Siem Reap province, aims to bolster cooperation between the two nations’ tourism authorities. Cambodian Tourism Minister Huot Hak and Cuba’s Ambassador to Cambodia, Milena Caridad Zaldívar Piedra, were the signatories of this pact.

The newly established framework seeks to promote tourism development through the exchange of knowledge and experiences, while also expanding Cambodia’s tourism outreach into Latin American markets. This initiative is grounded in the principles of equality and mutual benefit, aiming to create novel opportunities for collaboration in the tourism sector between Cambodia and Cuba.

Both countries share a history of diplomatic relations dating back to 1960, and this MoU marks a continuation of their longstanding bilateral ties. By formalizing this cooperation, Cambodia and Cuba hope to strengthen their tourism industries and capitalize on each other’s markets.
